Research indicates that 57% of women find dating apps to be unsafe environments, plagued by a culture of toxicity.
Algorithms play a significant role in perpetuating toxic masculinity by prioritizing content that echoes users’ existing biases, leading to an overrepresentation of male perspectives and the marginalization of female voices.
Bumble presents: The Inside Job.
A campaign that employs lenticular printing to combine empowering female quotes with the images of famous male influencers, challenging the stereotype that strength and inspiration are male-exclusive. This strategy aims to penetrate male-dominated realms, encouraging users to uncover the true authors of these quotes.
By doing so, it seeks to adjust personal content algorithms towards more inclusive narratives, fostering a shift in perspectives towards gender inclusivity and empathy in online spaces. Ultimately the inside job aims to enhance the safety and inclusivity of online dating by expanding users’ horizons and challenging gender biases.
